About the winery

The Pierson’s are not unfamiliar with a challenge. For 45 years, they have been the vital force behind Medic Ambulance Service in the heart of Solano County. Being a constant staple in the community and providing life-saving services for generations. They are not only a family of first responders, they’ve always been committed and deeply rooted in their communities from Sacramento to Vallejo. While visiting the Seeking tranquility from the bustle of emergency services, the decision to purchase Sentivo Vineyards was made. Like many families, the Pierson’s heritage is a blend of cultures, people, and places but our deep-rooted connection stems from Italy, hence the origin of our winery name Sentivo (Sen-tee-voh), meaning “I felt” or “to have felt”. Family is at the center of our winery and we operate in a way where everyone who visits is treated as such. Our signature toast here at Sentivo sums up our philosophy: “To friends who are family and family who are friends.” Each vine is nurtured similarly to the tenacity in which they have cared for patients over the years.
