Historical Vineyard Tour
June 21 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Skinner Vineyards and the Zentgraf’s are partnering with the El Dorado County Historical Society for a one-of-a-kind historical tasting fundraiser and guided winery tour that uncorks the early roots of El Dorado County’s winemaking tradition. From 1849 to 1870, pioneers like James Skinner, Jacob Zentgraf, and Robert Chalmers, amongst several others, laid the foundation for what would become one of the Sierra Foothills’ most beloved wine regions—and now, their legacy is ready to be rediscovered.
Your Experience Includes:
- A rich historical presentation with local historians and descendants of pioneer vintners
- Curated wine tastings from Skinner Vineyards
- Artisan-crafted gourmet charcuterie pairings
- An exclusive shuttle tour to rarely-accessible sites:
- The original Skinner wine cellar & Mission Grape vines
- The historic Zentgraf winery & rammed-earth homestead, which was recently placed on the National Register of Historic Places
- The Zentgraf Pioneer Cemetery, with interpretation by Mike Roberts of Save the Graves
