Dining in El Dorado Wine Country

Dining in El Dorado Wine Country is a fantastic way to end a day of exploration and relaxation. The hospitality you experienced at the wineries is often extended at the many family owned restaurants in our Wine Country. All of these fine restaurants feature a fantastic collection of local wines, so you can continue your Wine Country experience with your lunch or dinner. Many of the restaurants are located in beautiful historic settings, and offer a comfortable and relaxing way to wind down. Your choices are as varied as the abundant wine varietals you sampled throughout the day.

If you are in the mood for eclectic Mexican favorites mixed with California and Latin flavors, then Cascada is for you. For casual California Cuisine in a Gold Rush era building in downtown Placerville, you will want to check out the Heyday Café. Located downstairs in a historic building, the Smith Flat House features a seasonal menu with ingredients sourced from local farms and food artisans and has both indoor and outdoor dining. For a taste of American fusion cuisine featuring hand-crafted cocktails, steaks and fresh seafood, you can make your reservations at The Independent Restaurant and Bar. The Manzanita Kitchen in Diamond Springs is open most Friday and Saturdays evenings featuring prix fixe farm to table menus and live entertainment, however, please call ahead to ensure the schedule and menu.

Next time you are in El Dorado Wine Country, be sure to stop for lunch or stay for dinner, you will be glad you did!
