David Girard Vineyards

Last July David Girard Vineyards debuted the 7,000 square foot Viticulture Galleria. The venue hosted our Bastille Day celebration, elegant DGV weddings, Wine Club release events along with Chef and Winemaker Cooking Demonstrations. The Galleria has a grand interior space with exposed heavy timber trusses with an outdoor covered veranda connected to the interior space with a stunning view of the vineyard.

DGV's 2010 Rive d'Or and 2011 Viognier-Roussanne received gold medals at the 2012 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Both selections were included in the November 2012 Wine Club release not yet available to the public. Winemaker Mari Wells Coyle is expanding the DGV Premium Selection portfolio with the addition of 2010 Syrah Premium Select (Best of Class at 2012 Sunset International Wine Competition), 2010 Grenache Premium Select and an upcoming 2010 Mourvèdre Premium Select.

We welcome you to the vineyard to taste these spectacular wines and see the new venue.

Mount Aukum Winery

Perched atop a 2615-foot peak in the southern part of the county, our Mount Aukum Winery vines enjoy the warm sun, cooling afternoon breezes and rocky terroir that produce luscious grapes. In the skillful hands of winemaker Michel Prod'hon, they transform into flavorful, rich treats. Watch the winery website, or like us on Facebook for current information on tasty new releases, specials and upcoming events.

Along with great wines, Mount Aukum Winery offers stunning views from the surrounding patio areas, from the Sierras, still snowcapped at this time of year, down to the Sacramento Valley. Friendly staffers are ready to greet you, whether it's for a tasting experience or an event, and there's always a barrel or two to sample as well. Owners Michel and his wife Terrie invite you to take advantage of Passport and other case pricing to carry their wine experience home with you.

Narrow Gate Vineyards

"Wine is not just liquid in a bottle it's memories", wrote American journalist and wine writer, John Brecher. In fact, "remembering" is the biggest reason we all love to reload our wine racks in the spring. This month's surge in wine sales and consumption isn't only kicked off by almond blossoms and green grass or by the seasonal plate and first sight of a crisp white featured on the cover of Food & Wine magazine but by the traditions of both Easter and Passover, two of the most important celebrations among Christians and Jewish people respectively - and both with historical roots that include wine as a major part of remembering and reenacting God's historical and present protection, favor and deliverance.

This spring, whether your gathering includes Easter brunch, a Seder dinner or a seasonally inspired dinner party featuring matzo in brodo, roast leg of lamb, wild mushroom risotto, & smoky, grilled fresh asparagus, sip, swirl and enjoy the fragrant memories in the bottle and the hope of more to come!
